Provides drinking water to more than 750,000 people in the city of Arequipa

Project description:

In order to distribute drinking water by gravity to the highest areas of the city, the plant of Alto Cayma drinking water treatment in the district of Cayma, Arequipa city, at a level of 2,800 m.a.s.l.

The raw water comes from the Chili River, upstream of the city, by driving about 12 km. Both for the capture of the water and for the distribution, the flow is, for the most part, by gravity, therefore, the energy consumption is low. The plant is divided into 2 identical process lines (first and second-future stage), so that each of them is prepared to treat up to 1.5 m3 / s.

Thanks to this plant, the inhabitants of the city of Arequipa, and especially in the highest areas of the city, they have a sustainable supply system and quality water.

 

Our services include:

  • Includes engineering, procurement and construction for the expansion and improvement of Arequipa’s drinking water system. Includes Bocatoma in the Chili River, sand trap, 11 km of conduction line and the construction of the Treatment Plant.
