The world’s largest SAG and ball mills built to date were installed. The Concession area is located in a rugged area with altitudes that vary between 4,400 and 5,000 meters above sea level.
The Project’s concentrator plant, which is new, will process 110,000 tons of material per day for an expected period of 36 years, with a production of 1,838 tons per day of copper concentrate and 27.5 tons per day of molybdenum oxide. The great challenge was to carry out the work in the geographical conditions of the area and the main responsibility was in the assembly of the two ball mills (28 x 44 feet) and a SAG mill (40 x 26 feet) that to date were considered the largest in the world. All these works were delivered within the term established by our client.
